Sweeter than sweet sizzling melancholy, it's the first single of the album and Random Album digs. Just in time for light nights, blossom trees and the smog of spring.
Right now you should be listening to Rules, the new album from The Whitest Boy Alive.
Who? / The Whitest Boy Alive is fronted by Erlend Øye, who is also a member of Kings of Convenience, which should be considered as adequate testimonial of listenable reasoning. When I mean business I use my weapon of choice, big words and confusing sentencing.
Where? They are currently based in Berlin. This should prove their coolness.
Debut? In 2006 the band released their first album Dreams, featuring the song Don't Give Up, which can be heard repeatedly at my current job/rent paying gig/hell hole. This has not succeeded in me revolting against The Whitest Boy Alive. Again this is evidence of their superiority.
For dancing...
[Note/ High On The Heels sounds like a camouflaged tribute to the early 90's song Pump Up the Jam by Technotronic. Just a thought.]
As for my favorite song of the album it's one more for pondering and less for dancing to, although people may prove me wrong. They have before. Seldom, but sometimes.
It's Gravity, and the lyrics are, well, plain/simple praise worthy. Just beautiful really.
An example:
"She's the gravity my life circles around"
Oh.

I'm a sucker for crooning Chris Isaak; his voice, his hair, his bittersweet take on life and mostly LOVE. It's like sending your heart on vacation down south, dancing in the desert with armadillos, spurs and cowboy hats in place, backed up by three amigos, who lovingly play their trumpets as a love declaration to the universe and it's people.
It feels like this long, dark and cold winter might be leaving us. Be gone!
I've been working too much lately and every day feels like a part of me has been rinsed away. Man, it's tiring. My spirit seems see-through. Empty employment kills ya'll.
Change is coming. I'm moving to a new place next month, for 6 months tops, and then this Edinburgh adventure of mine might be coming to an end. Still not sure where I'm going after Scotland though; Berlin, London, Reykjavik?
All I know at this moment in time is that I like this song here below and let that be it for now.
