Crumbs

Michael Jackson died and Jens Lekman contracted swine flu. The world as we know it, is crumbling.

Right now, sitting at my desk, I can hear the church bells chime and the faint yowling of a bagpiper practicing; semi-drowned by the hubbub of traffic and gulls bellowing bird profanities (I imagine).

My nails are dirty and the red nail polish that's meant to hide the dirt, is chipped. I can't take a shower, after a draining day at work, as the damn thing is a hazard. Water and electricity can kill you see, or so says Mr. Fix It the handyman.

I have coffee and music to get me through this dirt. I have Golden Silvers and instant brew. Is all good.

How great is this eh?

Makes me want True Romance.

Jack PeƱate on the other hand makes me want to dance.

Tonight's Tonight transmits my thoughts home, to Icelandic summer nights out, when the sun never sets and going to bed isn't an option, so you might as well just stay up until the body crumbles.

Church bells in the early hours take the role of a makeshift alarm - you cover the windows with dark sheets to sleep.

Tomorrow is my day off and I'm getting tired thinking about sleeping in.
