Oh no! Has it really been almost a week since my last post? How utterly pathetic of my blogger self. Uhm... well tomorrow is the last day of my super cool festival job, where I've been manning the book signing tent at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. After that, I have a few days off to enjoy myself, relax, drink beer, listen to tunes, read my new books and celebrate my birthday with friends, eat sushi and stay out late, wayyyy past my bedtime. I'm really looking forward to that.
But oh, did I mention that I saw Sean Connery yesterday? No? Wello jello, the old fox had a Q&A event at the book festival, bringing with him wet winds that rustled through our little book village, creating a drafty atmosphere within our normally peaceful settlement.
Maybe this town doesn't care for its prodigal son. Just pondering.

Sir Connery
Today there has been a lot of whistling, people singing show-tunes and Queen. Free ice cream, doughnuts and cake, a book grab and a breeze of contentment making its way throughout the village.
Fun, fun.
Anyway, John sent me this and it made me happy:
The smashingly suave dancer reminds me of David Byrne and his Big Suit.
I should listen to The Frames more. I know I keep saying that but this time I really mean it.
